I began drawing at an early
age and throughout my life have used sketches and
drawings as the foundation upon which my larger works
are based. Some of the drawings here contain the same
elements of collage and added brushwork that I use in my
murals.
In the last fifteen years, I have had the opportunity to
visit many countries, constantly recording my
inspirations while abroad in small books. In addition to
making drawings while traveling, I enjoy sketching
musicians and performers on stage, often on the concert
program itself, a practice that I have kept since
working on theatrical set designs as a teenager. |
